Our method develops not only the muscles everyone talks about, but also the muscles often neglected that are key to reversing the aging process, preventing injury, and filling you with newfound confidence in how you look and how you move.

That’s why every FitnessBarre™ class is different. Every single one. While each class is based on principles designed to work your body as a whole and in specific areas, all our teachers bring a high level of creativity and improvisation. Once something becomes familiar and expected, your results diminish. That’s why the more classes you take, the harder it feels. You’ll feel muscles you didn’t know you had. And push yourself to where you never thought you could.

Our Classes

For us it’s personal.

Our camaraderie, positive spirit, energy, community, and passion are very real. Together, we’ll achieve results you never imagined and will never forget!

Every FitnessBarre class is a comprehensive workout which gives your body everything it needs to achieve and maintain a top level of fitness — strength, cardio, toning, sculpting, endurance, and flexibility. Our classes vary in terms of pace, intensity, and focus.

Our classes are typically 45 or 60 minutes in length, and our schedule accommodates people who prefer morning or afternoon workouts. In addition, our on-demand library is available for learning our method, re-taking favorite classes, or during off-hours.

Please wear something comfortable to move in. For barre or yoga, it’s best to wear fitted leggings or shorts, tank or tee, and to be barefoot or wear grip-soled socks. For higher intensity classes some people prefer sneakers (or “tennis shoes” if you are from the South!)

What you will need for our virtual classes: a mat, a heavy (5-8lbs) and light (2-5lbs) set of weights, and a surface to lean against such as the back of a chair or a table/counter top. Other props we may use but are never essential include: an inflatable 9” ball, a 9” looped resistance band, a long straight resistance band and a yoga block.

Class Descriptions

FitBarre 60
Transform your body and balance your mind in this 60-minute full body workout! With an emphasis on proper form and alignment, you’ll target your muscles with focused, tiny movements that will leave you shaking! For maximum results, we recommend a minimum of 3 classes per week.
FitBarre 45

It’s the FitBarre class you know and love…with slightly less stretching and a quicker pace. Take FitBarre 45 in combo with another class, when you need a light day, or when you’re short on time! For balance and recovery, we recommend adding your own personal stretch routine.

Cardio FitBarre 60

Feel the burn and break a sweat in this 60-minute fast-paced, full body workout. You’ll start by flowing through a variety of heart pumping and dynamic cardiovascular exercises. Then, you’ll hit the barre for some intense thigh+glute strengthening and core conditioning.

Cardio FitBarre 45

Feel the burn and break a sweat in this 45-minute fast-paced, full body workout. You’ll start by flowing through a variety of heart pumping and dynamic cardiovascular exercises. Then, you’ll hit the barre for some intense thigh+glute strengthening and core conditioning.

HIIT 45

HIIT45 is our dynamic High Intensity Interval Training class structured around a series of mat based “circuits” of intense bursts of strength and cardio-challenging activity and strategic recovery. Following the rounds of intervals, you’ll do a final burn-out series, an ab finisher, and stretch. 

HIIT 30
Short on time? This fast-paced and dynamic High Intensity Interval Training class is for you! You’ll move through a series of mat based “circuits” that include intense bursts of strength and cardio-challenging activity. Following the rounds of intervals, you’ll do a final burn-out series, an ab finisher and stretch. 
Robin’s FitnessBarre™ Zoom classes provide me with structure, discipline, and a sense of community. I look forward to seeing Robin and the other instructors, as well as the class members.  I’d rather be in the studio of course, but their Zoom classes are the next best thing.  I also love their video library so I can take classes on my own timetable.  – Jenn B.

We can schedule a regular or special event fitness class for you friends & family with the FitnessBarre™ teacher (and music!) of your choice. Email or DM us with what you would like and we will customize your awesome experience!

Barre-to-Bar with Robin & Linda

Robin and Linda, BFFs forever, used to spend every Tuesday together taking a barre class and then having cocktails. Something they (and occasionally their close friends) would look forward to and never miss. Thanks to our new virtual existence, we are inviting you to join us. After an FitBarre45 we consider life, cocktails, mocktails, and friendship. What happens here stays here! If you are interested, please let us know and look out for the invite!

Guest Teachers

We are fortunate to have a large network of top teachers who love to guest teach our FitB community. Sometimes they pop up as students in our classes. We incorporate guest teaching into our schedule as a way to keep variety and surprise into our program.

Private Sessions

Robin believes in the benefits of group fitness. On rare occasions she has taken on short-term private clients while they are recuperating from surgery or illness, or to help them develop confidence in the FItnessBarre™ method before entering a studio. Please let us know what you need and we will customize a solution that will help you develop the right private program to set you up for success. Our on-demand video library is another way to support a more private experience with FitnessBarre.™

While we encourage you to join our livestream community as often as you can, we understand that may not always be possible or what you want or need. Our on-demand video library is here for you to access 24/7 to retake a favorite class, to explore a new class or teacher, or to become familiar with our method and positions.

“I am a highly skilled, certified teacher with over 25 years of experience in the fitness industry. Alison is not joking around when it comes to her barre class. She is a purest – a meticulous and refined lifelong student and teacher of barre. Don’t be fooled by her calm, straightforward demeanor, she knows how to take your muscles to their edge.

“I attended my first class with Robin over 15 years ago. Then I went to George Washington and Boston University and got degrees in Psychology and Finance. But I kept coming back despite a busy work schedule. I was encouraged by Robin and another fitness mentor, the legendary Debbie Frank, to become a barre teacher. So I changed careers and in 2015 got another degree – my barre certification. I love watching my students improve and become stronger. Just as the method brings constant challenges to my students, I continue to challenge myself by keeping up with new techniques and practices. And just as I inspire my students, my students inspire me. I love their commitment and determination, their focus and will to finish. I always tell my students your body can do more than you think. And they’re the living proof.”

Nancy L’Heureux

If you feel like you are just trying to keep up in Nancy’s class, that’s the point. Her class flows seamlessly from challenge to challenge, and you’ll be dripping sweat upon sweat while carving out beautiful muscles and revving your metabolism for a post workout 24-hour burn.

“I’ve always been competitive…with myself. It’s how I was as a former gymnast and it’s how I am now. When I first started Barre, I immediately noticed a difference in my overall strength and muscle tone. It definitely pushed me to keep improving. (It’s that competitive thing.) I started taking classes with Robin after moving to NJ with my family and loved it so much I went through the certification program so I could be a teacher.

 I love working in an environment where I can give my students individual attention and encourage them to compete with themselves. To see them make progress, get stronger, and more confident is awesome. I love that I help them reset and recharge so they can move on and have their best day.”

Always upbeat, lighthearted and motivating, Kenna’s athletic energy and drive will inspire you to push to your edge while never losing your smile. Her class moves at a face pace, has great new music, but easily accommodates all fitness levels with tips to modify or intensify each move.

“I first learned of Robin through my good friend Nancy. She knew I was an avid exerciser and that I was having lower back pain for the past few years. At first, I wasn’t convinced FitnessBarre™ would be “hard” enough. I was more of a boot camp and kickboxing girl. But I bought a package of classes and noticed my back pain kept decreasing as my core kept getting stronger. That’s what inspired me to get my certification so I can teach. I really love how FitnessBarre™ lengthens and strengthens the body. I also love how it keeps you focused inward, so your mind doesn’t wander, and you really make the most of the 45-60 minutes. I’m so grateful that I get to share a method of exercise that I love and find it so satisfying when clients comment that they get a great workout.
